Hannibal Crossing the Blue Ridge Mountains
Hannibal Crossing the Blue Ridge Mountains
Mark Cline's annual April Fool's joke
was on the city of Waynesboro, Virginia. High above the town, he placed
five life-sized elephants and a figure of Hannibal, the legendary general
from ancient Carthage. He calls this installation "Hannibal Crosses
the Blue Ridge Mountains."
Bob and I travelled to Waynesboro to witness the arrival of Mark and
the elephants on March 31. We were interviewed and photographed by the
media along with Mark, and treated to some of Mark's trademark antics.
Check out the Flickr link to the right, and you'll see what I mean.
