Bed Pan Banjo

Bed pan banjo
Wood, plastic, and steel strings
Constructed by Art Thieme
First Place Winner in the
Tacky Treasures Road Show
Entered by Cathy Fink, May 2002
This one's a tacky treasure because in spite of its appearance, it's
actually playable. A truly versatile instrument, this banjo can play
the blues, old-time, and bluegrass, as proven by its owner, Cathy Fink.
Better yet, it's handy when you're in a festival jam session that's
too far from the portable toilets.
This was the star of the 2002 Tacky Treasures Road Show, just barely
edging out the breast salt and pepper shakers.
